The Last Of Us 2

Storyline.

The story of The Last of Us Part II takes place five years after Joel and Ellie's original journey. They now live in Jackson, a stable community of survivors, but the peace is shattered by a brutal and traumatic event that forces Ellie to embark on a relentless quest for revenge. She travels to the ruins of Seattle, a city consumed by a civil war between the WLF, a militarized militia, and the Seraphites, a fanatical religious group that lives in harmony with nature, but in an extremely violent way. The game's great narrative differentiator is its two-part structure. After following Ellie's descent into darkness and obsession, the perspective shifts drastically to Abby, the antagonist responsible for the initial trauma. Through Abby, the player discovers that she is not an ordinary villain, but someone motivated by her own losses and sense of justice. This shift in perspectives forces the player to confront their own biases and understand that, in the post-apocalyptic world, the line between "us" and "them" is purely subjective, transforming the game into a profound study of the destructive impact of hatred and the difficulty of finding forgiveness.
